We believe that it is more important to give a new country to "small pistol" than to give an 8th band QSO to a "big gun" station. By doing this, we hope to fulfill the demand for a "new one", especially from stations located in Japan and the rest of the Far East.

BVI - Pirates Paradise
The Caribbean Sea, especially Tortola and British Virgin Islands were the places where pirates operated in the XVII century. I well remember Sabatini's book "Captain Blood" from my childhood, and now we’ve decided to operate from Anegada, one of the British Virgin Islands. Although, for a long time, we couldn’t decide between PJ5 and VP2V, in the end we finally concluded that Anegada not only gives us more opportunities to test vertical antennas over salt water for future Dxpeditions, but it also lets us have more fun as pirates of the amateur bands :-)
Getting ready for VP2V
As our expedition QTH will be on the shore of the Caribbean Sea, we decided to build mostly vertical antennas to take advantage of the salt water close by. All our antennas were tested for the expedition in Poland. They are easy and quick to build, lightweight and with good, low take off angles.
